Nazka Mapps @ State of the Map EU 2023

As a long term user of OpenStreetMap and sponsor of the event, we received a ticket for the State of the Map 2023. This event with more than 65 sessions brings together everyone who is passionate about mapping and OpenStreetMap.

Our personal favourites:

• a talk about mapping hiking routes
• a presentation of the OnWheels app that is using OSM data to communicate information on accessibility of restaurants, shops,...
• the app BikeOnTrain Beta, that tries to give an idea about the accessibility of trainstations for taking your bicycle on the train

Our conclusion: the OSM community is very much alive and is closing the gap on multiple fronts by mapping new terrains, adding useful information to the map and demonstrating the power of maps!
