NaarJobs: sustainable mobility is important in the search for a job
Those looking for a job and looking to travel in a sustainable way can visit naarjobs.be from the beginning of 2025. This application helps in your search for an accessible job and it wants to highlight sustainable mobility options.
From now on, searching for a job will not only be based on the job content, but also the travel time from your home address (for example by bike) and the employer's mobility options (for example, is there a secure bicycle parking?) can be taken into account.
The project had a pilot in West Flanders and is now ready for rollout throughout Flanders. While the previous version mainly focused on professionals who guide people to work, the new version will also appeal to individual job seekers. Employers will have the opportunity to better highlight their sustainable mobility options.
Naarjobs.be supports the shift towards sustainable mobility and encourages the sustainability of companies' mobility policy. The tool is being developed by Nazka Mapps in collaboration with Mobiel 21, with the support of the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport.
