Nostalgeo, Streetview of the past

What once started as a simple idea during a Geo-Hackathon has grown into a web application with over 1200 streetviews from the past. Nostalgeo allows you to explore the past upto street level. The smart application shows historic buildings, squares and street scenes in today's Streetview. On the basis of the time slider you travel between the past and the present.

All data on nostalgeo was uploaded by volunteers; people who want to share their passion for the past with others. Uploading new data requires few steps and is feasible for everyone. A quick guide can be found at www.nostalgeo.com/handleiding.html. Once your old photo or postcard is uploaded, it becomes visible to all users.
